The language around Virtual/Augmented Reality fascinates me. It’s right there in the name: we are talking about Reality, the basis of everything. And yet we are also talking about specific technologies and people throwing around ludicrous amounts of money that no actual human will ever see. And conflating the language of these things is really one of those moments where the next McLuhan is angrily taking notes right now.
